About
I'm mainly interested in processing of Meteosat Second Generation data to produce useful data products.
In this area my two main focus points have been:
- The adoption of Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) techniques to correct angular uncertainties in MSG data,
- Utilisation of MSG data for nowcasting purposes and, in particular, the analysis of cloud type + phase.
Other interests include:
The use of UAVs for remote sensing with a focus upon the control systems that are required.
Development of instrumentation+sensors for exo-atmospheric sounding rockets.
Adoption of remote sensing techniques for use by pilots to enhance in-flight safety.
